Math:This week:We reviewed and finished Unit 9 by taking the test Thursday. 
Next week: We will review the skills we have been working with and learning throughout the whole year to prepare for the End of Year test Friday.

Reading:This week: We met in our small reading groups where we read, discussed, and journaled about our small books.
Next week: We will take the book tests and present our projects on Monday.  For the remainder of the week we will read the last TFK, take the end of the year Reading Skills test on the computer, and finish the teacher read book, The Boy Who Owned the School.
*Don’t forget BooksLogs are due WEDNESDAY.

Writing:This week: We reviewed the skills we have been working on throughout the year.  We also wrote a graded Expository piece about our best friends. 
Next week: We will write our final pieces as well as take the End of the Year grammar and language test.

Spelling/Editing:This week: We took our final regular lesson spelling  Tuesday.
Next week: We will take the Priority word Spelling test.

Unit Studies:(Science) This week:We finally finished Space and Technology Unit. by taking the unit test, sharing the Moon Phases sketchys, and playing Jeopardy.
Next week: (Health)We will begin our Health and self unit.

Art: This week: We started our plaster masks.

Notes From Ms. Sanborn
*Wow Wednesday was so much fun and we extend a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who made it happen. Thanks to those who helped plan, volunteer, and provide the pop.

*Congrats to Kaitlyn, Omar, and Keanu. They will represent 5th grade in the Talent Show, May 29th.

*I hope everyone had a good time today at the track and field day. 

FOR SCHEDULING PURPOSES:
*Don’t forget about the All School Field Day on Wednesday. It will be a fun day with several stations.

*The Talent Show is the 29th around 9 am.

*The 5th Grade ALL SCHOOL CLAP  OUT  May 30th at 11:45am. Be there early if you want to take pictures! (the whole school and parents line the walls as we walk out of school forever)NOTICE; we leave 15 minutes before the rest of the school!

*May 30th we will have an all grade yearbook signing as well as watch the GREAT video by Mr. Maurer!
