Four Information Presentations Will Be Held Throughout Community
The Board of Education voted unanimously on December 5, 2022 to ask our community to continue the levy override authority Millard has had since 2018. The levy override has provided financial stability to support the important work we do in our schools. The Board’s action was taken tonight because state law requires levy overrides to be reauthorized by voters after five years.
Millard residents will vote on the continuation of this authority in a special mail-in election on March 14th. Ballots will be arriving in mailboxes in mid-February and must be either received in the Douglas and Sarpy County Election Offices or in one of their ballot boxes by 5 p.m. on March 14th in order to be counted. The election offices recommend mailing a week in advance of the election day to make sure they arrive on time.
